Queenie Kwok (B. Eng. McGill University, M. Sc. Carleton University) joined the Canadian Explosives Research Laboratory of Natural Resources Canada in 1998. Active in the characterization of energetic materials using a variety of thermoanalytical techniques, for the primary goal of conducting research and development to improve the safety and security of energetic materials during manufacture, transportation and use.
Queenie became active in the Canadian Thermal Analysis Society (CTAS) and North American Thermal Analysis Society (NATAS) starting in 2001, and served as the CTAS President in 2007-2008 and the NATAS President in 2017. She is currently the ICTAC Secretary.
